We are looking for a Manager, Finance Operations and Processes to be part of the global Finance Operations team that supports and enhances Contentful’s business processes and systems. The role will focus on supporting and enhancing the finance function’s tactical and strategic initiatives as well as helping to improve efficiency and automation in existing practices. The Finance Operations team exists at a critical point between the finance function, the IT team and the broader business and are a value add and value creating function to drive scalability within the company.
Business Requirements Analysis
Partners with business stakeholders on new and existing projects to analyse, define and document business requirements, as it pertains to finance, including giving a view from finance through the process.
Drives best practices during requirements gathering and modeling with a focus on scalability and controls, especially SOX
Stakeholders Business Relationship Management
Understands the finance environment and helps to act as the gateway between finance and the broader business.
Works to proactively put the customer first whilst ensuring efficiency for both the finance organization and the broader business.
Interacts regularly with IT on ensuring systems, processes and automation are guided by financial best practices.
Act as a key advisor on solutions prepared by peers or supporting team, and champions finance needs.
Acts as key internal finance owner on key reports, financial system requirements and integration needs as appropriate.
This role would suit someone who has either been a Business Systems Analyst supporting a finance organisation, an extremely tech savvy accountant who has spent time getting into the systems and processes at previous companies (and likely a super-user on key software) or someone with a management consulting background who has specialized in finance process advisory. It is a combination of consulting and driving change and so will need someone who is an excellent communicator as well as having superior problem solving skills. Experience with ERP systems (ideally Netsuite) is crucial
