About the opportunity

Contentful is looking for a Sales Incentive Analyst to assist in our continued growth on a global basis and ensure elements of our Go To Market strategy run seamlessly. As our Sales Incentive Analyst you will be responsible for the calculation of sales commissions, plan roll out, detailed analytics with regards sales incentives. You will work cross functionally with finance, sales operations, legal, HR and all members of the Go-To-Market team in a critical and highly visible role.

What to expect?

  • Calculation of monthly and quarterly sales commissions through Perfomio, as well as via manual calculations
  • Driving process improvements in the sales compensation process to increase automation, transparency, and speed of the commission calculation process
  • Train and assist with onboarding of sales personnel with regards incentive structures and comprehension of plans
  • Partnering with Finance, Sales, and Internal Audit to drive relevant SOX controls across the Commission process
  • Work with technical accounting on the calculation and maintenance of various ASC606 requirements
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, and Finance leadership on plan design, improvement and change implementation.
  • Create, maintain, and present various statistical reports including stack ranking, underlying performance management and detailed analytics around sales performance.
  • Work with accounting on the correct recording and reconciliation of the commission calculations
  • Regularly communicate with and educate the Go To Market team to ensure transparency and understanding of the calculations and calculation process
  • Work with Sales Operations, Legal, HR, and Finance on plan design and roll-out within a global environment.

What you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field of study
  • Have 5+ years sales compensation experience within a SaaS/Subscription based technology company
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to emphasize and communicate well with sales professionals
  • Strongly analytical and detail oriented
  • Demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
[This position is eligible for equity awards, annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s variable compensation plans.]
