About the opportunity

The Manager, Sales Operations will play a critical role in supporting the Contentful Sales organization by helping to oversee the Sales Operations team (North America) in meeting the needs of the pillars of Sales Ops:  Process, Transparency, Control Systems, and Automation - in order to help the Sales department scale. This role requires a candidate who exhibits all of the key capabilities of Sales Operations: Efficiency, Collaboration, Persistence, Resilience, and Purpose. The candidate must be a strong leader, self-directed, well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What to expect?

  • Overseeing daily team operations.
  • Developing and implementing growth strategies for team members.
  • Evaluating performance and productivity of team members.
  • Work as a supportive, active, and strategy member of the Sales Operations leadership team.
  • Support analytics, reporting, and forecasting on a quarterly, monthly, and ad-hoc basis.
  • Assist with day-to-day activities supported by Sales Operations.
  • Be a thought leader and go-to expert on resources and tools.
  • Keep Sales Operations & Sales Department documentation up-to-date and relevant.
  • Work directly with key Sales leaders on critical strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective cross-functional processes.
  • Help to drive discipline and accuracy around data.

What you need to be successful?

  • Prior experience in Sales Operations Management.
  • Prior experience in people management.
  • Admin level proficiency in (certification a plus, but not a requirement).
  • Deep sales process and methodology experience and expertise.
  • Strong analytical and process definition skills.
  • Solid experience with Excel.

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $125,000-$135,000

[This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s variable compensation plans.]
