JAMstack_Berlin Meetup #16
The JAMstack is not about specific technologies. It’s a new way of building websites and apps that deliver better performance, higher security, lower cost of scaling, and better developer experience.
If you are interested to give a talk please fill out this form:
#1 - Anil Kumar Krishnashetty - Headless and JAMstack - The State of Commerce Today
Anil Kumar is a Product Manager at commercetools. He is a community builder & prototyper with 10+ years of Frontend product development experience from companies including SAP, Sapient, Canto & one.com. He has been speaking, writing about rapid prototyping tools, running, and facilitating prototyping workshops.
The world of commerce has seen a shift in modern times where catering to a large, global, digitally-connected customer base is of utmost importance. With the growing number of connected devices and commerce touchpoints beyond the traditional web and mobile devices, we've seen increased adoption of headless solutions and development using JAMstack with both many of our customers and across the business landscape. Learn more on how headless and JAMstack commerce are the answers to building a scalable, modern commerce experience.
#2 - Daniel Norman - Jamstack with Next.js and Prisma
Daniel is a software engineer with broad experience across modern web and cloud environments. He's passionate about open source and modern development tooling and likes bringing ideas from different disciplines to software development. These days, Daniel is a developer advocate at Prisma, focusing on next-generation database access for Node.js and Typescript. Outside the software world, Daniel is interested in woodworking and motorcycling
As developers, we are often faced with decisions that will impact our applications' overall architecture. In recent years the Jamstack architecture has gained popularity in the web development community. While Jamstack is loosely defined, there are some common challenges when using it for highly interactive apps. In this talk, I will explore the challenges with the Jamstack and share an approach that solves those problems with Next.js and Prisma.
The group is open to anyone interested. Whether you're new to the subject or you are an expert and want to share your knowledge.
