How to creative interact content using Contentful, and testing your Content Models safely
February 12, 2019
6:30 PM - 9:30 PM CEST
6:30 PM: Doors open. Get some food and drinks before the talks.
7:00 PM: Get Traction with Interaction: Modeling Interactive Content with React and Contentful's Rich Text Editor - Jesse Pinho (Clue)
How do we make content come to life in our readers' hands with React? In this talk, Jesse will describe the approach used at Clue to render interactive content in the middle of text-based articles on their React-based content site, helloclue.com, in a way similar to the interactive pieces publications such as The New York Times, and the New Yorker have been developing. He will cover the content model, the code, and the production process Clue uses to create interactive content that works for both their developers and their writers.
Jesse is an artist and software engineer interested in exploring the meaning of technology and its relationship with humans. When he's not writing code for @clue and @imrsvarts, he enjoys the occasional meditation session or a night out at a techno club — usually not at the same time. 7:30 PM: Dynamic Schema Generation for Changing Data Models - Stephan Schneider (Contentful)
Designing one API is hard. Aiming to find the perfect sweet spot, a lot of decisions are to be made, so every API consumer gets what they need. In our case the API surface changes between every single of our customers. Learn about design decisions & trade-offs when designing a thousand APIs at once.
Stephan is a backend developer at Cotentful
