Generative AI technology opens incredible new business opportunities and with these new possibilities comes certain risks that must be handled responsibly. OpenAI, the sub-processor whose technology powers the AI Content Type Generator, requires that users of its technology comply with its safety and usage policies in order to mitigate risks that often exist in certain industries that could be compounded with the use of AI. To that end, Contentful’s AI Terms of Service, which are required for any customer using the AI Content Type Generator, include certain reasonable limitations to minimize any associated risks.

Yes. The AI Content Type Generator integrates a generative pretrained language model developed by OpenAI. If a customer elects to use the AI Content Type Generator, which requires agreeing to the Contentful AI Terms of Service, then OpenAI, LLC will act as a Contentful sub-processor and will process on our behalf the customer data that is entered as a prompt and the resulting output from the AI Content Type Generator.
