  4. Under "Locale", select the required locale from the drop-down menu. Pay attention to the language-region keys.

NOTE: If you don't find the desired locale in the list, you can create a custom one using the Content Management API. The default locale is the one that is used when other locale fields are empty.

  5. Optional: Under "Fallback locale", select a fallback locale to be displayed whenever a field is empty in the selected locale.

For example, you can leave fields empty for EN-UK locale and set it to fall back to EN-US. You can then fill both locales with content only if there are regional differences.

  6. Under "Locale settings", select the checkboxes to activate the following options:

    • Enable this locale in response   Select this checkbox to include the locale in the responses of both the Content Delivery API and the Content Preview API.

    • Enable editing for this locale Select this checkbox to make the locale visible to editors and enable it in the Content Management API.

NOTE: These settings are selected by default.

    • Allow required fields to be empty for this locale (not available for locale-based publishing) Select this checkbox if you have required fields in your content type. If the checkbox is not selected, your editors cannot publish content without adding content to the required field.

  7. Click Save. Your locale is added to your environment.
