After logging into the web app, you’ll be brought to the space home for your organization. The space home is where you can find and access all the content for your project. In the top navigation bar, you can access the Content Model, Content, and Media tabs, depending on your organizational role.
The space home in Contentful
The content tab is where you can find the master list of all content entries in your space. To make the list more manageable, you can use search and filter to easily find specific entries.
Note: By default, archived content is not shown in the master content list. You’ll need to use the Archived view in the sidebar to see your archived entries.
Search results are organized into columns. By default, the Name, Content Type, Updated, Author, and Status columns are displayed.
Name: The name of each entry or asset. Clicking on the Name column will select or deselect all entries.
Content Type: The type of content each entry is (for example, Lesson or Article)
Updated: The date of the last update made to an entry. Clicking on the Updated column will sort the list by ascending or descending date.
Author: The author of each entry. If you're the author, you'll see "Me" instead of a name.
Status: The current status of each entry (Draft, Changed, or Published).
Note: By default, the Name and Status columns are always visible and cannot be hidden.
You have the option to further refine the content or asset list by choosing which columns should be displayed.
A list of columns in Contentful
In the upper-right corner of the master content list, click the gear icon. The resulting drop-down menu is divided into two sections:
Displayed columns are the columns that are currently visible.
Available columns are columns that are currently hidden.
2. To show or hide a column, click its name. If it’s visible, it will be moved to the Displayed columns section. If it’s hidden, it will be moved to the Available columns section.
The Scheduled Content link in the sidebar will bring you to the Scheduled Content page, where you can see all the entries in your space that are scheduled for publishing. You can further refine the list to show scheduled, completed and failed entries.
For more information on this feature, see our scheduled publishing article.
The media tab is where all your media assets are found. Assets can be anything from images to graphs to videos. Just as with the content list, you can use search and filter to easily find specific assets.
