Fair Use Policy (Legacy, 2017)

Introduction
This Fair Use Policy (FUP) forms an integral part of the Contentful Terms of Service between you and Contentful GmbH that govern your use of Contentful software and the services. Terms used but not defined below, shall have the meaning outlined in the Contentful Terms of Service. If you do not agree with this FUP, do not use any company software or services.The limits outlined below apply to the plans created between July 10, 2017 and April 16, 2018. The legacy plans (introduced before July 2017) are subject to the legacy fair use policy. The current fair use limits are documented under the Fair use policy.
Self-service tier usage limits
Contentful Developer, Team, and Professional editions come with the following fair use limits:

The API and Bandwidth quotas listed above are measured on a monthly basis and reset to zero on the first day of a new period. For example, if you signed up on a 15th, your usage period is set to be from 15th to 15th of a calendar month. The Records quota is cumulative and can be reset only when an organization’s users delete individual items
The Developer, Team, and Professional editions are also subject to system limits, imposed to ensure an uninterrupted functioning of the shared service infrastructure. These limits are listed in the technical limits section of the developer documentation.
If you require higher limits, consider upgrading to the Enterprise service tier, which comes with higher default limits and ability to purchase custom usage quotas for your organization.
If your service usage exceeds the limits listed above, we reserve the right to take corrective action, including but not limited to the throttling of the service API, temporarily suspending or - when other options are unavailable - terminating your account.
Enterprise tier usage limits
Unless agreed otherwise in the service contract, the organizations with Enterprise editions are subject to the following fair use limits:

The API, Bandwidth quotas listed above are measured on a monthly basis and reset to zero on the first day of a new period. The Records quota is cumulative and can be reset by deleting individual items. The system limits for the enterprise tier are listed in the [technical limits section][technical-limits].
